The Geelong Hospital Appeal raises funds to support Barwon Health's services and facilities. www.geelonghospitalappeal.org.au
The Geelong Hospital Annual Appeal supports the region’s health services by raising money for different areas and priorities within Barwon Health. These include services within the Geelong Hospital, the Andrew Love Cancer Centre and cancer services, the McKellar Centre, community health and mental health centres around the Geelong region.
The Barwon Health Foundation and its supporters host a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to raise money.
Each year, the Geelong Hospital Appeal culminates in the Queen's Birthday Giving Weekend. Volunteer tin shakers are stationed at the main intersections and merchandise stands are positioned around the region to raise funds.
The current fundraising focus is the Special Care Nursery redevelopment at Geelong Hospital.
The $3.8 million redevelopment will be funded as a joint project between the Barwon Health Foundation, Cotton On Foundation and the community.
Each year approximately 500 babies are cared for in the ward and with your help, we can provide modern facilities for the families and the clinicians, including a modern and spacious ward offering more privacy for families.
